Infectious disease modelling workshop

The infectious disease modelling workshop will be held from 8 to 11 April 2019 at the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (UNITID), Nairobi, Kenya.

The 4-day course will cover:

•Modelling for fundamental insight into disease transmission

•Models for study design

•Structured model-based decision making

•Using models to infer impact of interventions

There are no course fees payable however full attendance is required. A few scholarships are available to support attendance of participants based outside Nairobi. The application deadline is 1 March 2019. Full details are provided in the poster attached.

The course is facilitated by the South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA), UNITID and Washington State University and funded by the African Collaboration Grant, Stellenbosch University, Kenya Education Network (KENET) and the Infectious Diseases Society of Kenya.
