The goal of Program Management course is to equip the learner with enhanced leadership capacity for effective management of HIV healthcare projects and programs.

Expected Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course, the learner should be able to:

(i) Demonstrate leadership knowledge and skills to manage healthcare programs

(ii) Apply supply chain management skills in healthcare programs

(iii) Employ skills and competencies of financial management in healthcare systems

(iv) Integrate communication skills for behavior change in healthcare systems

(v) Apply practical quality management knowledge and skills in healthcare systems

(vi) Mobilize resources and write grant proposals for public health programs

(vii) Justify application of policy and legal frameworks in healthcare delivery

(viii) Promote organizational development and learning in healthcare systems

(ix) Write a report on the project implemented during experiential learning

 

Minimum Admission Requirements

Master’s degree in health or related social and biological sciences from the University of Nairobi or any other institution recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate with at least one year experience in the health sector. Any other equivalent qualification to the above from institution recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.
