EDUCATIONAL AIRPORT TOUR VISIT FOR 2ND YEAR MSC. TROPICAL AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES

UNITID students undertaking Msc. in Tropical and Infectious Diseases are required as part of their training to have exposure to issues of Port Health during their training. Our current 2nd year students visited Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Port Health facilities on 25th February 2019 in the accompaniment of Dr. Eric Munene (Unit Coordinator WID 709: Tropical and Travel Medicine).

 

GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE

 

UNITID hosted a one (1) day training course on Good Clinical Practice. Trainees visited sites where research projects were ongoing like THIKA & KISUMU for some experiential exposures.

WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY(WSU) VETERINARY SCHOOL FACULTY VISIT UNITID

UNITID hosted Washington State University (WSU) Veterinary School faculty (19 faculty members) on March 13-15, 2019. The team was in the country to primarily understand the Kenya WSU team and its collaborators  in order to enhance collaboration with the headquarters.

UNITID also showcased the ongoing work with UON and the current usage of the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) refurbished laboratory.
